Why did I get marked for driving too slowly on my driving test?
You must drive at a safe and suitable speed for the conditions.
You will get marked if you drive slowly when it's safe to drive at the speed limit because:
- The examiner thinks you don't know what the speed limit is
- The examiner thinks you aren't confident enough to drive at the speed limit
Make sure you are aware of the conditions for the road you are driving along e.g. weather, other traffic, pedestrians, corners, road surfaces, parked cars etc.
Vehicles become a hazard to other road users if they are being driven too slowly - it can also lead to other drivers attempting to overtake
